Graz: Location and Travel Information

Symposium, tutorials and the conference office will use the facilities of the Institute of Experimental Physics, Petersgasse 16, A-8010 Graz.

Graz may be reached directly by air with connections of an hour or less from Frankfurt, Zurich, Stuttgart, Munich and Vienna. The train ride from Vienna to Graz takes about 2,5 hours with direct intercity trains every 2 hours. Traveling by car from Vienna, take the main motorway south (A2). The Graz International Airport is approximately 15 km from down town Graz, location of most hotels and the FME symposium. Hotels and symposium may be reached by bus or taxi. Taxi from the airport to downtown Graz is about ATS 200,-. Graz has excellent public transport services (bus and tramway).
